OAG Travel Planner Pro

 

Is Travel Planner Pro available in CD format?
Yes Travel Planner Pro is available online or a monthly CD.

Can I download Travel Planner Pro for offline use?
From July 2011 you will be able to download your product to use offline from within the online version. The download is the same version as the CD. If you use the download feature and no longer need your CD, please email us at contactus@oag.com and we will stop sending the CD.

How do I access Travel Planner Pro?

Open an Internet Browser window and type-in http://tppro.oag.com, where you can login with your Travel Planner Pro user ID and password. If you are experiencing trouble logging in please contact us via your nearest office or email us at contactus@oag.com.

Where do I find my login details?
Your login details would have been sent to you either by email or by letter. If you can’t find your login details please email us at contactus@oag.com and we will re-supply these details for you.

I have forgotten my password, what should I do?
If you have forgotten your password, please give us a call or email contactus@oag.com and we will reset your password.

Why is the new Pro version now on CD rather than DVD?
We have made some changes to streamline the product which means it will install easier and faster and has a smaller footprint so it fits on a CD rather than a DVD.

Why has OAG created the new Pro version?
We have updated the product using modern technology, which will enable us to support the product more effectively in the future. The Pro version contains all the data and features of the old OAG Travel Planner, but presented in a more user friendly, modern way on a modern technology platform.

I have inserted my Travel Planner Pro CD into my computer but it did not run, what should I do?
Go to the CD drive in Windows Explorer and double click the Install.exe file on the disk. This will start the install process.

I had switched to the OAG Travel Planner Pro DVD, can I just start using the CD version instead?
Yes, install the CD and continue travel planning.

What are the Minimum System Requirements for running the OAG Travel Planner Pro CD?
To install and run the product, the following minimum set of system requirements are needed.

Operating System: Windows 2000, Windows XP sp3, Windows Vista (32/64 bit), Windows 7 (32/64 bit), Windows Server 2000 and above.
Memory: 1GB – 1.5GB RAM
Processor: Pentium® 4 CPU 2.80GHz
Hard Disk: 2.5 GB
External Drive: CD

Special Note:
Windows Vista and Windows 7 require more memory than previous versions of Windows to perform at their best. Microsoft Windows Vista Home Basic requires 512 MegaBytes (512MB) of memory (RAM) while all other versions, including Vista Home Premium, Vista Business and the various versions of Windows 7, will require a minimum of 1 GigaByte (1GB) of memory.

I have installed Travel Planner Pro, how do I now access it from my computer?
Go to the start menu > Programs > Travel Planner Pro and select Travel Planner Pro

I am trying to register the product but it is saying it can’t access the TPP Licensing System. What happens next?
To continue, you will need to do a Manual Registration. Click on the Manual Registration if you would like to read the instructions guide. The system will ask you to enter your login details then download and save a small file to your computer, then email the file to us at contactus@oag.com. We will send you an activation file by return email and you can then continue the activation process by clicking “Activate using file” and following the instructions on screen.

Will I have to register each time I use the product or each time I get an updated CD?
No, you only have to register the first time you install the product. Once you have activated your license, your access to the product will last for the duration of your subscription and you will not need to use your login details each time.

Can I save my Itineraries?
Yes, Travel Planner Pro allows you to create, save, and manage multiple itineraries within the application. You can even output the itineraries in PDF format for printing or emailing.

Can I get access to schedules updates more frequently than once a month, is that possible?
Yes, the online version is updated weekly. You can access the online version as part of your subscription, using the login details you have previously received just go to http://tppro.oag.com

I have moved to the online version of the product and no longer need the CD sent to me . What should I do?
Please let us know by sending an email to contactus@oag.com and we will update our records so that your CD is no longer distributed.

Can I still use the Travel Planner Pro CD when I am traveling and do not have an internet connection?
Yes you can. You can search for flights and hotels, build and change trip plans offline without needing an internet connection.

Is there a product tutorial?
Yes, we have created a tutorial which can be viewed from the following url http://www.oagtravel.com/tutorial This shows you how to use all the product functionality, including how to build a trip, save itineraries and manage profiles.

Can I save more than one profile?
Yes, you can set personal and corporate preferences to travelers’ profiles and apply these to search results within Travel Planner Pro.

Can I create multi-leg Itineraries?
Yes, Travel Planner Pro is a dynamic travel planning and booking tool. You can create and manage multi-leg complex trips that include flights, hotels, car rentals, appointments, and even destination information.

Can I try a free trial to Travel Planner Pro?
Yes, we offer 14-day trials to the online version of Travel Planner Pro. Sign up for your free trial here!

Can I have more than one license?
Of course, multi user licenses are available for OAG Travel Planner Pro please contact us for more details.

I have installed the DVD previously but it didn’t work. Should I uninstall it, if so, how do I do that?
If you have unsuccessfully installed the DVD, it is a good idea to uninstall the software. To do this, please follow these instructions below:

  • Completely uninstall the TPPro application. Uninstall Travel Planner by executing the link ‘Change Travel Planner Pro Installation’. This link should be available under ‘Start’ menu -> All Programs –> Travel Planner Pro; or Desktop if specified during installation. If this link doesn’t exist then continue with the next set of instructions.
  • Check programs installed by accessing “Control Panel” -> “Add or Remove Programs”. Travel Planner will install two items in this list; make sure none of them exist before installing. The first is “Travel Planner Pro”, remove it if appears (if can’t be removed, don’t worry, keep reading). The second is “DB2 Express-C – TPPSRVR”. Again, if found, please click in “Remove” button
  • Once all programs are uninstalled proceed to delete any remaining file from the file system. First, go to the installation directory (default is “C:\Program Files\Travel Planner Pro”) and delete any remaining file. Second, check if exists and delete directory “C:\TPPSRVR” (again, assuming the previous default path, otherwise use the drive letter of the installed path you have chosen).
  • Finally, check the Windows Registry. Travel Planner stores customised information in the local System Registry, and we need to delete them before re-installing. Expand “Start” menu and select “Run…”. The name of the command to execute is “regedit”, please type it and hit enter-key. You’ll need Administrative privileges to use this program, please ask support from your network administrator if you can’t access the application. Once you get access to “regedit” minimise or contract all expanded items from the left-side menu. Once minimised you’ll see a ‘Computer’ root item and 5 sub-trees one of them named ‘HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE’. Please expand this item, and the following ‘SOFTWARE’. Here resides a custom ‘Travel Planner Pro’ item that you must need to delete if present. To delete the item just right-click on it and select option ‘Delete’.

Lastly if “Travel Planner Pro” was not removed from the “Add or Remove Programs” menu before, try again now. It should disappear

Can I refer a friend or colleague?

OAG Flights

How do I login?

Open an Internet Browser window and type-in www.oag-flights.com, this will take you to the main login screen for OAG Flights. Insert your user ID and password. If you are experiencing trouble logging in contact our customer care department.

Do I have to login every time?

If you are accessing OAG Flights from a personal computer or one that is not shared, you can click on remember me on the login page and a cookie will be stored on your PC, so it will automatically log you in each time until the cookie expires or is deleted from your PC.

How can I view connecting flights?

Direct and connecting flight will be displayed on the same search results page. You can view more connecting flights by scrolling to the bottom of the page and clicking on “more connections.”

Can I save my Itinerary within OAG Flights?

No, OAG Flights is a simple point-to-point search tool for one way and round trip flights. While it offers the ability to make reservations at the time of search, it doesn’t save your itinerary. If you would like to save Itineraries we recommend upgrading to OAG Travel Planner Pro which allows you to create, save and manage multiple travel itineraries. No, OAG Flights is a simple point-to-point search tool for easy one way and round trip flights.
